How to Switch Facebook from Top Stories to Most Recent
You have 759 friends but seem to only see posts from the same 3 people.
What gives?!
Facebook automatically sets your news feed to Top Stories and it thinks that you really, really like these same few people so it only shows you their stuff over and over. You can literally go years without seeing posts from hundreds of other people.
So you switch it from Top Stories to Most Recent but when you close out the page and come back, Facebook has reset back to Top Stories!
I have some good news and bad news.
The good news: There is a way you can switch Facebook from Top Stories to Most Recent.
The bad news: It’s only possible on a desktop.
As far as I know, there is no hack to scroll Most Recent on your phone permanently. If you have one, definitely share your secret!
Here’s the trick for desktop:
Copy and paste this link into your browser: https://www.facebook.com/?sk=h_chr
Then, save it as a bookmark!
This link will always automatically set your Facebook newsfeed to Most Recent! And if you save it as a bookmark, then all you have to do is click it to see Most Recent every time.
That’s it!
If you want to manually change your newsfeed in the Facebook app every time, here’s how you can do it on an iPhone.
Click the 3 lines in the bottom right-hand corner.
Scroll to the bottom where it says “See More” and click it.
Then you can choose “Recent & favorites”
You will have to do that every time you throw the app away and start over but it might be worth it to see something new on your feed!
Share this Facebook hack with your friends so they can stop seeing the same 3 people’s posts all the time too!
